Ghosts. Their existence has been a point of contention for centuries, and while scientists and skeptics still disavow that ghosts are real, it is ironic that technology will be the key to unlocking the mystery of it all. Whether ghosts exists or not (that is a contentious subject that is well beyond the scope of this space, believe me), the topic is a perfect fodder for gamers who have no problem suspending disbelief to have an abnormal adventure. So with that in mind, it's easy to see why Star Mountain Studios' latest game, Apparitions, is an interesting adventure for gamer and true believer alike (and for the record, I am the former and not the latter).



While Apparitions may not bear the Ghost Hunters name (which is obviously owned by Sci-Fi Network), it does capture the essence of what TAPS as a group and the show are all about. In the game you take on the role of a lead investigator exploring the depths and heights of an allegedly haunted hotel called the Red Reef Inn. The first thing I noticed is the incredible amount of back story created for this game, delivered as case files and histories in your laptop. The hallmark of any good ghost story (real or imagined) is a laundry list of historical data and personal accounts of sightings. The game does a decent job of delivering that in spades, setting those willing to take the time to read it up for whatever activity is about to happen in the many rooms of the Inn.



The game is served up in classic adventure game style. Each location in the inn is a static 2D picture which you can pan around simply by moving the mouse in any direction (left, right, up or down) - old school adventure gamers will feel at home with this style of play, for sure. As you navigate though each room you'll be using the real world tools that the TAPS team use like an EMF detector, camcorder, voice recorder and temperature gauge. You'll also be able to set up IR cameras remotely, though you won't be able to monitor what they pick up in real-time (that data is pushed directly to the evidence file on your virtual laptop). Whatever anomalies you encounter (or at least the most significant) will be stored in your laptop, which at some point you'll have to sift through and decide if it is real evidence or nonsense.




What's interesting about the game is how much of what you'll encounter would probably be the norm in a real world investigation. These anomalies I speak of are the ones people often mistake for real evidence; for example, you might encounter fluctuating temperatures in one spot, only to find later that there is a door slightly ajar or an open window.. perhaps you'll get a high EMF reading in the basement and find out later that some heavy electrical equipment is in the general vicinity. It is this kind of balance that makes the game fun - it isn't all about floating mists, moving objects and things that can't be explained.


While some might quibble of the graphical presentation and interface of Apparitions, it is pretty easy to understand why Star Mountain built the game the way they did. It is designed to appeal to Ghost Hunter TV viewers, paranormal fans and casual gamers of all ages. In that regard, the game does a good job of keeping things simple, while providing a lot of depth in the actual gameplay. And let's not discount the atmosphere the game provides. If you can get into the game's groove it can deliver some truly startling moments for players as you hear sounds, see shadows and watch as objects appear to move by their own power.

Of course, the goal of the game is to garner the highest score and post it to the leaderboards at the Apparitions site. While that's certainly one of the goals that you may want to accomplish, it ultimately doesn't matter. Apparitions is about taking a fantastic journey and experiencing something that you won't necessarily encounter in every day life - and that's what games are all about.

In the final analysis Apparitions is a fun old school style adventure games that targets its audience with laser beam precision. True believers of the paranormal, skeptics, gamers of all ages and backgrounds and fans of TAPS' popular TV show can all find something appealing in this game. If you consider yourself a member of one of these demographics, then you shouldn't have a problem finding enjoyment within this game.

Orbs are a very controversial item in the paranormal investigation field. The hard fact is that most, if not all, "orbs" are caused by water droplets, dust, snow, rain, etc...A common misconception about dust orbs is that it is dust actually in the camera or on the lens. This isn't true, in fact, dust orbs are caused by air-born dust particles directly in front of the camera lens. Below is an in-depth article on photographic/video analysis and contamination factors that cause false-positive orbs. Please note that the following applies for any camera with a flash (35mm & digital), and all nightshot video cameras.

Point "A" represents the camera lens's inverted focal point (the point that an object must be past to be in-focus), and "B" represents the way light travels into the lens. The dust particles that are closer than point "A" will be out-of-focus, and appear as false-positive dust orbs.

Diagram 1 is a representation of how dust in front of the camera lens appears orb-like when a flash is used. "B" represents how light travels through the camera lens, and "A" represents the focal point of the lens, or the point objects need to be past in order to be in focus. As you can see, there are dust particles closer to the lens than point A, therefore the dust will appear out-of-focus, as seen in Diagram 2.

When the flash fires (Diagram 1), light is reflected off the dust, back into the camera lens, causing the dust to be illuminated. Because of the angle of the flash and the camera lens, the closer the flash is to the lens, the more prone it will be to dust orbs. The same applies for using nightshot video cameras, the IR light reflects off the out-of-focus dust, causing them to look like "orbs" or plasmoids.

I want to emphasize the fact that orb-causing dust is floating in the air in front of the camera lens, and is not actually on the lens itself. It seems that many people think that wiping their lens clean before each photo session will solve the dust-orb problem, but this is entirely false. The truth is the dust is in the air, floating close to the camera lens (within about 6 inches normally), and there is no way to solve the problem through lens or site cleaning.

Point "P" represents the distance the dust particles are away from the camera lens, and "A" again represents the camera lens's inverted focal point (the point that an object must be past to be in-focus).This diagram shows how dust particles become out of focus as they get closer to the camera lens.

Some common characteristics of dust orbs in photographs may be showing some sort of nucleus, elongation around the central axis towards the edges of the photos, a rectangular or octagonal shape, but is not limited to these. Elongation around the central axis towards the edge of the photo is caused by a lens curvature error known as "Coma", cameras with very small lenses and short focal lengths (such as digital cameras) are more prone to coma than other cameras with longer focal length lenses, such as SLR cameras.

Orbs of a rectangular or octagonal shape are caused because of a phenomena that can be defined as:
"When an object with a similar shape as the aperture of the camera lens is brought out-of-focus, the object will begin to take the shape of the aperture".

In other words, if the aperture of the camera is an octagon (the aperture is the hole that opens to let light through the lens), an out-of-focus dust orb will begin to take the shape of an octagon, particularly towards the center of the image. Another common phenomena that is often mistaken for something paranormal is called lens "Flare", and occurs when a bright light source (most often the Sun) reflects off a portion of the lens, and creates "ghost" images (not really ghosts, but internal reflections) of the aperture of the camera. Generally, flare can be ruled out of most photos taken at night, but can be a problem with shooting pictures during the day.

There is nothing paranormal about the dust orb phenomena, it is natural to any camera with a flash and any video with a light source that isn't in front of the camera (ie, infrared light, spotlights). It seems that many groups still consider dust orb photos to be paranormal, because they don't want to take the time to collect REAL anomalous data. What keeps these groups holding on to the dust orb as phenomena is the instant gratification they get by collecting hundreds of so-called "spirit orbs" in a single night of investigating.

The truth is no matter what the environment, there are always air-born particles in the air (except in a vacuum...) that can contaminate your data. You can sometimes even see the flash reflect off the dust particles when a picture is taken. Also, this phenomena isn't just limited to dust, it also applies to rain, water droplets, bugs, etc.

This past Christmas Eve my dreams caught up with me...
About 10 years ago, I had a dream about a hotel near the old railroad station, located in the city I lived in (Aptos, CA).

In the dream, I was standing in the foyer of the hotel (located at a busy intersection in the town) and it must have been around the turn of the century judging by what the people I saw were wearing. At the foot of the staircase, stood a haughty woman in her mid-fifties and walking down the hallway was a different, slightly younger woman with her back toward me. Walking quickly out the front door was a man in his mid-fifties with a newspaper under his arm. Lastly, I saw a little boy riding on one of those tricycles with the gigantic front tire outside in front of the hotel.

In the dream the hotel was located across the street of where it stands today...
SO...
Even though the dream was vivid and lucid, I dismissed it (to a certain degree) because of inaccuracy. Obviously the hotel was on the wrong side of the street.

FAST FORWARD:
Christmas Eve 2006

My family and I were out for Christmas Eve dinner and they had selected this very hotel to dine at. I had never been inside this hotel, only past it. When I stepped into the foyer, I took a deep breath and realized I was now standing in the EXACT SAME foyer as I had in the dream 10 years before.

Suddenly, the bartender rushed over to seat us. As she escorted my family into the dining room, she leaned in and whispered in my ear, "You know this place is haunted, right?"I responded by asking her if she knew about 6 CENTS INVESTIGATIONS and she chuckled and said, " I knew there was a reason I wanted to tell you that! I never usually seat people, it's not my job. But I felt compelled to tell you this place is haunted! You must come back and do an investigation!" She then scurried off into the kitchen.

By this time, my knees were shaking and my teeth chattering so i was happy to except the glass of wine offered to me by the bartender. After a large slurp, I opened my menu and just about choked on the olive i had just popped in my mouth. There on the front of the menu is the hotel's history...
A timeline that indicated the hotel, around the turn of the century was literally dragged 180 feet across the street! I was speechless...still am.

But, the point is to write down dreams you remember....
You never know when your notes may just very well come in handy!

When I decided to write this article, it was because of my passion for paranormal photography. SO often, I find the debates about what is paranormal or not in a photo to be subjective. And while that is not a bad thing...it leaves much to be desired within the scientific community.

In an attempt to DO just that, have paranormal photography recognized by the scientific community, Jim DeCaro set the bar.
And set it HIGH, he did!
Many of you may not realize, that it is DeCaro himself that coined the term SPIRITOGRAPHY. Recently, I had the honor of interviewing Jim DeCaro, truly a MASTER of SPIRITOGRAPHY...



INTERVIEW WITH JIM DECARO

ROSE-
When did you discover your 1st photo containing something paranormal? What was it? How did you determine it was paranormal in nature?

JIM–
1999, at first they began appearing in my photographs, then I began to see them appear and disappear, upon examining the photographs; detailed images of human anatomical features were clearly visible (I call that paranormal).

ROSE-
How long have you been taking spirit photos?

JIM–
1999

ROSE-
When did you coin the term "Spiritography" ?

JIM–
1999/2000, I had been trying to name my collection for several weeks in order to register with the US Copyright office, it came to me at 3:00 am from a dead sleep.

ROSE-
Do you think being in the company of a medium makes a difference in the manifestation of spirits?

JIM–
That is my current belief.

ROSE-
Do you believe digital cameras to be the best for capturing paranormal phenomena? Why or why not?

JIM–
I’m not convinced the type of camera is viable either way. I prefer Digital.

ROSE-
Do you have an opinion on the ORB debate?

JIM-
Spiritography is far more advanced than (orbs), I don’t even bother to keep them anymore.

ROSE-
What advice do you have for the seasoned photographer, as well as, the novice?

JIM–
Get a real job (jk). I believe there is a certain level of cooperation between a spirit that wants to materialize and the photographer, learn to listen.

ROSE-
How close are we to having the scientific community's respect?

JIM–
Based on the results of the analysis of ghost and paranormal photographs as published in the IJP 50th Anniversary Edition (Volume XII, Issue 2, 2001), I would say not very close at all.

ROSE-
How did the Parapsychology Association determine your photos were the "real deal"? When?

JIM–
This is a question that scares me; I’m not qualified to speak on behalf of the scientific community or the methods involved in determining paranormal/spirit activity from a scientific viewpoint, what scares me is that they got it right, both times... 2001/02 and 2005.

This particular case was just recently in the news and took place at a gas station in Ohio. It made national headlines and sparked fierce debates about what this blue image really is. BED SHAKING MYSTERY FINALLY SOLVED!...with the help of MEDIUM - JEFFREY WANDS

BED SHAKING MYSTERY SOLVED???

Many of you have followed my story of the physical paranormal phenomena occurring in my home over the last year and a half.
*For those of you that missed the story, just key in the word "haunting" and the back story should come up from the BLOGGER Search Engine.

In a recent BLOG entry, I mentioned the spirit of a man that looked like he was in his mid-twenties, brownish hair, and wearing a leather bomber jacket. Kind of a TOPGUN look from the 80's. I was uncertain if it was in my mind...
OR in my mind's eye??!!...

In the past year, I picked up a name for this spirit-person.
A friend sensed someone named Michael around me or coming to me in the future...
She had hoped this name she was getting would be attached to someone living...(cupid, lol...).
Indeed, this was the exact name I was getting...
But the gentleman was very much dead and seemingly a GHOST...
So, I just kind of let it go.

Internationally recognized MEDIUM Jeffrey Wands contacted me after reading my GV BLOG...
IN Jeffrey's message, he told me there was a spirit-man attached to me and his name...
...MICHAEL...
OF ALL THE NAMES IN THE WORLD ???
What were the chances?
I had never written his name and only told my friend!
Needless to say, I was speechless. I felt very validated. Jeffrey Wands told me that Michael had died from a drug overdose and was confused...

So, feeling a sense of encouragement I *contacted Michael*...
I spoke to him out loud the same way you would speak to a friend. He communicated with me by impressing feelings, thoughts, and images into my mind's eye, so to speak. He was able to convey his deep sorrow for his death and crippling fear of what was just beyond the LIGHT. He was terrified that he was going to Purgatory. He felt that his overdose wold be viewed by GOD as SUICIDE and he was therefore terrified of the LIGHT. He was rather stubborn in his convictions. He put the image of himself walking thru the LIGHT only to fall off a cliff into an endless, dark abyss in my mind's eye.

It took me a good hour to convince him that GOD had already forgiven him...
The only person that needed to forgive him was...HIMSELF.
I tried to express to him that he had suffered long enough here on the ghostly plane. His response was...
"Well this is better than falling into nothingness!!!"

I asked him about the LIGHT...
Could he see it ALL this time I wondered??
He said that yes he could but would turn away from it. I asked him to PLEASE, PLEASE look into the LIGHT and see if he could see, hear, or sense any of his loved ones???

Finally, I got the sense that he was ready to "go for it"...
And at that very instant a RED ORB the size of a soccer ball appeared....
It then shifted colors from RED to PINK...changed shapes from a circle to a HEART...and then WHOOOSHH...right through the wall where the light switch is. The heart shape felt like it was a symbol...his way of saying THANK YOU. The change of colors from RED to PINK signifies to me the restlessness of his spirit shifting to a more calmed PINK.

I have waited to discuss this until a month or so passed...
I wanted to see if my bed would shake, etc...

Astral Projection Story #1 - Astral Romance

One moonlit evening in 1924 a restless, depressed young man named Sylvan Muldoon came home from a walk. He collapsed on his bed without bothering to take off his clothes. Instead of relaxing, however, his body grew rigid. Muldoon, who had undergone many out-of-body experiences, knew what was coming.





His astral body left the physical and moved quickly out the door. Suddenly it was inside a house Muldoon had never seen before. Four strangers sat in the living room. One was a pretty 17-year-old girl, who was sewing a black dress. Muldoon stood in front of her for a few moments before returning to his physical body.





Six weeks later Muldoon saw the girl get out of a car and go into a house. He waited outside until she emerged, and then he blurted out,


"Excuse me, but where do you live?"


The girl snapped that this was none of his business, but Muldoon went on to describe accurately her house and members of her family. When he told her how he knew these things and how he had met her, she was puzzled and wary but impressed with his sincerity.





"One thing led to another!" Muldoon wrote in his Projection of the Astral Body.


"I began to like her. I have seen her many times since." The two even conducted astral-projection experiments together.





Almost all regular out-of-body travelers have some experience with love and sex on the astral plane. Men and women have met there and even engaged in sexual intercourse, feeling rapturous ecstasy of a kind never approached in earthly sex. The great French astral traveler Yram has this to say about astral sex:

As the battle continues to rage concerning the validity of orbs and their relationship to paranormal activity, new techniques and devices are being invented every day to try and “clear up the picture.”

It is generally accepted by all serious researchers that the majority of orbs captured with digital cameras is created by the cameras response to a foreign object VERY close to the lens. This holds true for dust, pollen, particulate matter of any kind, as well as liquids, although with liquids there has to be a situation called neutral velocity involved. So it is very easy to artificially create orbs and photograph them.By carefully experimenting with my camera (a Sony MAVICA) I have been able to determine that in order for dust to print as an orb, it HAS to be within four inches of the lens. The solution to eliminating false orbs from your photographs is quite simple. Fashion a hood for your camera that will keep dust out of the four inch corridor. Sound easy? It certainly is.

The people at GhostGadgets even have a how to page on how to make your own device, something they call the DEVA or Dust Eliminating Video Apparatus. Of course it will also work for still cameras as well.

A lot of people ask me, or in some cases they just tell me that you cannot tell a paranormal orb from a dust particle, or even that paranormal orbs do not exist at all. The people who say this have obviously NEVER performed any orb research other than reading what the critics say, who by the way have also not performed any orb research. If they would have, they would have found that some orbs defy the dust/particle explanation.

For example:

Any orb that is in motion and leaves a trail on a digital camera and clearly changes direction in the photo is not a dust particle. Whatever it is, the orb is moving faster than the speed of the digital camera, which is 1/30th of a second. That is indicative of an incredibly high velocity, not sustainable inside a building by air or convection currents.

So what is it? Well we don’t know for sure, but we know what it ISN’T.Another example would be to have an orb partially obscured by something in the background. We have captured a few of these photos over the years with both film and digital cameras. Since the orb is appearing beyond the 4 inch event field, it is impossible for it to be dust or any foreign particulate mass, in the natural sense, to our knowledge. What it may be is open to conjecture. I have a theory that it is the result of weak plasma being bombarded with the photons from a flash. In cases where they are captured without a flash, it is indicative of the plasma radiating light at a lower frequency such as in the infrared range, or at a higher frequency, such as the ultraviolet range of light. We know this because the digital camera sees well into both of these spectrums, while the human eye does not. For film users, it means a special light sensitive film must be used, either for IR or UV, which including processing, it very expensive.If we eliminate the use of digital cameras, we are eliminating a valuable tool. What we need to do instead is employ devices that will eliminate false orb captures.

One year later: Community still torn apart by slaying of pregnant Asha Veil

BEN LOMOND — Almost a year after Joanna "Asha" Veil was killed, her memory has not dimmed in the San Lorenzo Valley.


The memorial book signed at the vigil for Joanna 'Asha' Veil Sunday will be sent to her mother in Poland. About 30 people gathered at a Sunday evening vigil for Veil, a pregnant Ben Lomond Market cashier who was slain last September.

"It's just way too close to home and scary," said Beth Robinson, who owns Where the Fur Flies in Ben Lomond. She keeps a photo of Veil in the front window of her store and said it will remain there until her killer is found and prosecuted. "I can't believe it's been a year."
But despite the push for answers in this tight-knit mountain community, no one has been arrested in connection with the deaths of Veil, 28, and her unborn daughter, Anina. Sheriff's detectives have not announced any new developments in the case for months and say they have no timeline for solving the killings.
"I'd love to make an arrest tomorrow," sheriff's Lt. Phil Wowak said last week. "But the reality is I don't want to ... until we have an absolutely airtight case."

The hold-ups in the case have not changed: forensic evidence shipped to the state Department of Justice for analysis has yet to return, according to the Sheriff's Office. Wowak declined to say what specific evidence investigators are waiting on but said it would take at least two more months to get the results.

In April, a sheriff's detective named Michael McClish, 38, a suspect in the killing. McClish, who was a manager at the market where Veil worked, was convicted of rape and sodomy in July and sentenced to 18 years to life in prison Friday. Last week, Wowak would not comment on McClish or any other suspects the Sheriff's Office is pursuing.

The Sheriff's Office also has not released who the father of Veil's unborn child is, though they've had the information for months.
"It doesn't have any bearing on how and why she was killed," Wowak said of the father's identity. "It doesn't have any merit in the prosecution of her killer. I'm just trying to keep distractions out of the case"

Mourners at Sunday's vigil said the lack of news about Veil's slaying has spurned speculation that is tearing the community apart.
"It is really divisive," said Sue Lee, who worked with Veil at the market. "That's the real unfortunate thing"

Veil, a Polish immigrant who was estranged from her husband when she was killed, had lived in the San Lorenzo Valley since November 2004 and worked at the market for about a year.
"It just affected me," Claudia Parke, of Boulder Creek, said at Sunday's memorial. "It could have been my daughter. It could have been my granddaughter. It's just not OK"
A few cried as others shared memories of Veil, like how thrilled she was about becoming a mother and the calm way she would walk through the aisles at the market rubbing her belly.

"Asha had such a profound effect on the people she met," Lee said. "I cannot go into that store and not hear her voice"
But most who grieved her death Sunday only knew her in passing; some had never met her.
"I felt like I knew her all my life," said Ken Murphy, a Ben Lomond man who met Veil at the market. "She sticks with me all the time"

Author, singer, spiritualist found truth in goddess myths

As she lay dying on the bed inside her Santa Cruz home, her last words were, "It's better now."
And with that, Shekhinah Mountainwater, a key figure in Santa Cruz's alternative spiritual culture, died Saturday after battling uterine cancer for more than a year and a half.
She was 67.

She was surrounded by friends and family. On Monday they recalled her impact. They said it was not only in the way she lived her life, but in the way she left it: courageous in the face of pain. Then, finally, peacefully.
She was a healer, a tarot reader, a teacher, a singer, a musician, an author, a goddess, a pagan, a witch.
"The good kind of witch, not the bad kind," her friends and family pointed out Monday, occasionally motioning to her body, which lay a few feet away inside a plain wooden coffin in the backyard; occasionally they spoke to her.

"She was dedicated to her work and changing the world," said son Frey Faust, who followed in his mother's artistic footsteps by becoming a dance teacher. "She was a creative mother, and she was very disciplined as an artist herself. Nature was important to her. Values were important to her. She was never interested in monetary wealth"
While thousands of Santa Cruz residents could fit that very description, what made Mountainwater's life so interesting is that she dedicated her life to empowering women long before it became fashionable.

And she never let up.
And it wasn't a political movement along the lines of feminism, although that was certainly important to her.
It was a spiritual movement — one whose roots can be traced to an ancient time, long before Judaism and Christianity "came to be," said daughter Angel Brandwein, who, as a child growing up in Ben Lomond, would sing and dance with her mother and older brother in front of the old Cooper House in downtown Santa Cruz.

"She was always at the forefront of any new movement whose purpose was to enlighten and unravel the patriarchal regime," said Brandwein, who now lives in Phoenix and works at Arizona State University. "She was the original beatnik, the original hippie; she was always anti-establishment"

She sang and played acoustic guitar in the same coffee houses as Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell in the 1960s in New York's Greenwich Village, before eventually moving to Los Angeles in the early 1970s, then settling in Santa Cruz, where she lived for 35 years in the same house on Effey Street.

Born Ellen Adler on Oct. 24, 1939, she was raised in New York and attended Bard College for a few years before she set off on her own in an attempt to become a folksinger.
Over the course of her life, however, Mountainwater would adopt a long line of names before settling on her final one, Shekhinah — "the female aspect of god in ancient Judaism," her daughter said.

"Her name changes represented her journey in life at the time and the discovery of a new part of herself," she added.
In 1991, she wrote "Ariadne's Thread: A Workbook of Goddess Magic," a book about feminist spirituality and magic.
"You may have heard of the five steps or keys to magic," she writes. "See, know, will, dare and keep silent. Those correspond to the five elements of the witch's star, as spirit, mind, action, emotion, and body"

Or, perhaps, a more prophetic line would be this one: "Great are the life forms that let us eat them/Some day our bodies too will be food/Great is the goddess who makes things so yummy/Great is the woman who cooks it so good"

In December 2005, however, Mountainwater was dealt a blow when she was diagnosed with cancer. Soon, she found herself having to mix alternative methods of healing, such as herbs, massage and acupuncture, with modern-day practices such as chemotherapy and radiation.
The chemotherapy may have taken her beautiful hair, friends say, but it didn't take her soul, or her fire, or the goddess within her.

"She taught us how to find the goddesses in ourselves. She taught us how to hold ourselves sacred," said Juniper Spring, a close friend. "That's what made her so special"
What neighbor Cindia Boyle said she will miss most of all is their day-to-day friendship.
"She was always here," said Boyle. "And now she isn't"

Greetings My Fellow Ghosties,

Well, as promised,

I told you ALL that you would be the first to know if something transpired after last weeks *2 minute Bed-Shaking-Fest*. It did.

As I mentioned in a previous entry, I think it is very important & relevent to jot down or even LOG what you think may be a paranormal event...

The date, day of the week, time, moon phase, and anything else that seems pertinent at the time. By using this technique, it may help you to decipher a message being offered up by the other side. Otherwise, it can feel like we are swimming aimlessly in a paranormal soup.

I have been experiencing the BED SHAKING PHENOMENON, as many of you know, for about a year and a half now...

Never before moving to this home (And I DO LOVE living here, BTW).

I must admit that this past weekend I was a bit tense after the 2 minute

Shake-a-Thon...

Wondering if anything was going to go down or not?!

Apart from MORE bed shaking & seeing a figure out of the corner of my eyes, nothing else happened...

(Although as a side note, I will tell you that I often feel like I see a man in his 20's, with brown hair & a leather bomber jacket on).

Perhaps, my mind is playing tricks on me...Perhaps not.

Anyway, last night my bed started shaking really HARD and within, Oh a minute or so, I could hear the now familiar screaming, swearing, & threats from my neighbor's residing in back of my home....

Somehow I knew on the inside this was IT....

This was the latest event I had been *warned* of. I actually spoke allowed and said,

"Bed-Shaker"...

As I affectionately call who or what ever does this...

"I hear the fighting and thank you for alerting me"...

It seemingly responded by shaking the bed again really hard. So, I turned down the volume on my TV to keep an ear on the escalation of violence.

Only a few minutes past, and the telephone rang; startled I answered it. It was my other neighbor (next door on the left). She said she had, had it with those neighbors and called the police after she heard punches being thrown while trying to put her 3 little ones to bed...The cops showed up within about 5 minutes and the arguing stopped...

But guess what ???

The bed KEPT shaking.

Now, I was confused!...

There went my theory of the bed shaking as a warning!

I went to bed early and tried to tune out the shaking...It's a little hard to tune out your bed shaking, though.

Well, then this morning at 7 ...

It turns out someone opened the door of my other neighbor's (the one that shares the duplex with me) car door and just left it wide open. Nothing appeared to be stolen. It was very odd!Last month someone came up on the second story landing of our building and tried to pull the screen completely off of her BEDROOM window. The No Parking sign on our property was then "tagged" with gang grafitti. After our landlord repalced the sign, whomever this was, tagged the Stop sign (knowing I suppose it would take the city weeks to fix it).

As it stands today, I feel this is a Being (Spirit or Ghost, not sure) that is warning me of impending danger, however, I will continue to keep a journal of phenomena to see if I can discern ANY other patterns whatsoever.

And ofcourse, YOU know I will update you when and if I have something new to report.
